The Colorado Buffaloes have been active in the transfer portal since Deion Sanders arrived in town. They’ve added a ton of offensive pieces, including former Houston RB Alton McCaskill.
However, they have also brought in plenty of defense after a difficult 2022 campaign on that side of the ball. A major “new” piece is Chance Main, who began his college career at Independence Community College before moving on to Incarnate Word. Main then transferred to Colorado ahead of the 2022 season.

He finished the 2022 season with a total of 28 tackles, two TFLs and a fumble recovery. However, when Coach Prime entered, Main was one of many players to enter the portal.
Still, he decided to return to Boulder for his final college season earlier this month, and he recently revealed what went into that decision in an interview with Nikki Edwards from CUSportsReport:
“We have every tool, every facility, everything to make it a powerhouse again.” 🦬
I caught up @chance_main to discuss how he got back into the Buffs and his journey with Colorado Football.

“I think we slept in a bit,” Main told Edwards. “They still believe we are more or less the same team… We have all the tools and facilities to make it a powerhouse again… The situation is even better than in the 90s.”
