The Oklahoma Sooners have built such a reputation along the offensive line that they are generally cited in recruiting battles for the best offensive line in the country.
The Sooners have been heavily recruiting four-star offensive lineman Liam Andrews over the past year and have hosted him on a few unofficial visits this spring. The Sooners offered the nation’s No. 1 domestic offensive lineman last May and have continued to build the relationship. That has earned the Sooners a top 10 spot with Andrews as he limits his recruiting.

“Oklahoma is a place of great culture,” Andrews told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. “They have a great personal development program outside of football and have a great fanbase and culture. Ol Coach Bedenbaugh is also a great developer of NFL talent.”
Verified size with impressive length. Being recruited to play on offensive and defensive lines, but more up on the offensive side. Has basketball and lacrosse in his athletic background. Jumbo athlete with impressive athleticism given the size that stood out during personal evaluation. Excellent body control. Vibrant athlete with the ability to bend and gain leverage no matter which side of the ball is played. Plays physically and quickly. Consistently treats physically overmatched prospects. Embrace the physical aspect. Has fast and active hands. As an offensive lineman, he is technically sound and exudes athleticism. Drops hips well and drives up and into defender. Consistently gets hands in and uses force well. The first thrust is powerful and meaningful. Is strong is pass pro base. Plays mean and with annoying streak. Once engaged, floats legs and clears defender with ease. On defense, he usually lines up as 5-tech. Quickly dismounts in an instant and can stack and throw. Demonstrates the closing speed. Flashes swimming and tearing movements. Drills well and uses combination moves. Technique is strong and impressive given the workload on both sides of the ball. Shows some ability to dip the shoulder and get around the edge. Build and skills probably mean going to college if he stays on the defensive. Must continue to develop upper body strength. In pass pro, need to work on kickstep and fine-tune ability to flip. Multi-year starter who can get playing time early in high-level program. Has NFL draft potential in the early round. —Brian Dohn, 247Sports National Recruiting Expert
While the Oklahoma Sooners will have to overcome the big programs on the East Coast, they have shown they can recruit across the country. With Bill Bedenbaugh’s track record, you can’t bar the Sooners from any recruiting until a prospect signs their national letter of intent.
