Erik Bakich and the Clemson baseball team settled matters against Boston College and defeated the Eagles 4-1 to advance to the semifinals of the ACC Tournament.
Caden Grice again came up big for the Tigers, hitting a two-run home run in the bottom of the first inning, giving the team a lead they would never drop. It was Grices’ 16th home run of the season.

Clemson got two more runs in the bottom of the second behind Jack Crighton’s RBI double. Boston College pitcher John West did a great job against the Tigers bats after coming in after two innings and giving up just one hit with seven strikeouts.
Austin Gordon was great on the mound for Clemson, striking out three and walking three while giving up only two hits and no runs on 91 pitches.
Clemson will face North Carolina in the semifinals on Saturday, with the first pitch on the ACC Network at 5 p.m.
