Former Florida wide receiver Xzavier Henderson is on his way to the Midwest to play his junior season at the University of Cincinnati, according to 247Sports.
Henderson joined Florida as a member of the recruiting class of 2020. 247Sports rated him a four-star and top-100 (No. 60) prospect from Christopher Columbus High School in Miami. He played in all but one game for Florida in the shortened 2020 season and started three of 13 games in 2021.

Once Billy Napier took over the program, Henderson stepped into a starting role. Mostly used in screenplays, he finished the year with 38 receptions and 410 yards.
In 2023, Henderson was expected to be a starter for the Gators again, especially with Justin Shorter moving to the pros. Only slot receiver Ricky Pearsall threatened to take important goals away from him.
There may not be as many opportunities in Cincinnati either. The Bearcats have added 21 players from the transfer portal to date, including five wide receivers.
Henderson joins former Florida quarterback Emory Jones in Cincinnati. It will be the Bearcats’ first season in the Big 12 and a quarterback receiver tandem with SEC experience should help. Henderson will be eligible for another two years under his new program.
